At 56 years old, I'm down to running three times a week but still enjoy it. I have been having problems with my ankles, feet, and just general fatigue. The Spira has really made a difference, and I think the spring does work. I don't think that they will help me to run more, but I think that wearing them will help me to maintain my running schedule. They are kind of funky and clunky looking, but they do work. The toe box could be a little wider/rounder, and I found that I had to size up to an 11 when I usually wear a 10.5. In summary, a very good shoe, and I will order them again.
